PATCHOGUE, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's volleyball dropped a 3-0 (25-10, 25-9, 25-5) decision Saturday afternoon to the Sage Gators (11-7, 1-0 Skyline) in a Skyline Conference neutral site showdown from the Danzi Center in Patchogue, New York.

Sage jumped ahead early and never looked back to lead through the contest's opening 69 points. Old Westbury (4-6, 1-3 Skyline) took its lone lead of the day off Rayn Brown's kill that opened the third set for the Panthers with a 1-0 advantage. Sage answered with a 6-0 run to set the tone for the stanza en route to completing the three-set sweep.

The Panthers struggled offensively against the defending conference champions, and totaled their second-lowest kills (8) total and attacking percentage (-.097) of the season, while the Gators recorded 38 kills, nine aces and a .405 hitting clip.

Brown led the team for the sixth-straight match with four kills on the day, while Olivia O'Keefe followed with two. Brown and Chelsey Hoffman combined for both of Old Westbury's aces. Hoffman dished out three assists to move the offense and Brittany Buchanan added two. Shanayia Lloyd and Sofia Goris were able to scoop up seven digs apiece.

Sara Campolieta and Mickey Mango both nailed down nine kills to pace Sage as Rachel Liebig's 33 assists directed the offense.

NEW ROCHELLE BLUE ANGELS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns home Tuesday (Oct. 6) evening with a non-conference showdown against the New Rochelle Blue Angels. First serve is slated for 7 p.m. at Clark Athletic Center.
