Season Statistics

WILLIAMSPORT, PA ---
(www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury men's basketball fell 82-60 to the Lycoming Warriors Wednesday afternoon in the championship game of the Louis Fleming Basinger Memorial Tournament at Lamade Gym.  Old Westbury entered the game with a four-game win streak and now stands at 5-5 on the season while Lycoming improved to 9-2.  Stephon Odle was named to the all-tournament team after netting the game-winning shot in Tuesday's 53-51 first-round overtime victory over York (Pa.).

Keith Lackerson drove the lane and Stanley Baker sank a pair of free throws to put Old Westbury ahead early with a 4-0 lead.  Lycoming quickly answered with an 8-0 run to take a four-point lead.  Cody Zafran then added five of Old Westbury's next seven points to put the Panthers back on top, 11-10.  The Warriors took back control of the game for good with a 12-1 spurt from 13:36 to 6:45 for a 10-point cushion (22-12).  Lylle Ryals connected on a three pointer to trim Old Westbury's deficit to seven points (22-15) before T.J. Duckett answered with a three ball of his own to ignite a 12-2 Warrior run from 6:14 to 2:01.  Old Westbury scored eight of the final 11 points to close out the half down 37-25.

Lycoming put the game away with a 15-6 run to extend its lead to 21 points with 14:51 remaining.  Old Westbury then used a 13-5 run to close the gap to 13 points before Lycoming countered with an 11-2 spurt to take a game-high 22 point (70-48) with 7:51 remaining.

Zafran poured in a career-high 17 points (5-of-10 FG, 3-of-6 3FG, 4-of-4 FT) points to pace the Panthers.  Ryals added 13 points (3-of-6 3FG) and P.J. Page chipped in with nine.  Kaleem Edwards contributed a career-best three blocks and tied a career-high with 10 rebounds.  Lackerson nabbed two steals.

Duckett led Lycoming to victory with 19 points while Nykolas King followed with 11.

Old Westbury shot 33.3 percent (19-of-57) from the field while connecting on 36 percent (9-of-25) from three-point territory and a season-high 92.9 percent (13-of-14) from the free-throw line.  By comparison, Lycoming hit on 46.2 percent (30-of-65) from the floor, 50 percent (11-of-22) from beyond the arc and 57.9 percent (11-of-19) from the charity stripe.  The Warriors won the boards battle, 43-34, and scored 15 second-chance points off 16 offensive rebounds.  Lycoming held the advantage in assists (18-11), steals (6-3), points in the paint (36-18), points off turnovers (17-14), bench points (37-34) and fast-break points (20-5).  Old Westbury finished with a 7-1 edge in blocks.
