Valdes reached base on a two-base throwing error by third baseman Em Hammett to lead off the game.Ā  Two batters later, Valdes opened the scoring books after advancing home off Hammett's throwing error for what proved to be the game-winning run.Ā  Valdes doubled Old Westbury's advantage in the second with a grounder to the pitcher to score Redguard for a 2-0 lead.Ā  Fucci followed with an RBI single to score Murray for Old Westbury's third run.Ā
