@OW_Panthers Women’s Soccer coasts past York, 4-0

Old Westbury received goals from four different Panthers en route to posting its fourth shutout of the season

BROOKLYN --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's soccer closed out their non-conference schedule Thursday evening with a 4-0 road win over the York College Cardinals (4-11-0) inside Aviator Field.

Melissa Outsen broke the scoring ice 8:06 in by finishing a feed from Mayra Bonilla for her fourth-career game-winning goal.  Old Westbury (5-8-1) doubled its advantage 3:05 later as Outsen set Cara Normile up for her second goal of the season for the Panthers' 2-0 lead heading into intermission.

Old Westbury opened the second-half scoring in the 51st minute when Effie Shani found Jessica Tuckruskye for her fourth goal of the season that made it a 3-0 game. Lucia Mejia scored in the 66th minute to register her eighth-career goal off a pass from Samantha Cervantes to settle the 4-0 final.

Tuckruskye (2-5-0) played the opening 45 minute in goal to combine with Normile for the Panthers' fourth shutout of the season.  In fact, Old Westbury's defense held its opponent shotless for the third time this season.  Sarah Hilaire (4-11-0) made seven stops in defeat for York.

In the end, Old Westbury held the edge in shots (25-0), shots on goal (11-0) and corner kicks (6-0).
