OLD WESTBURY, NY ---
(www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury men's basketball collected a convincing 83-70 Skyline Conference home win Thursday evening over the Yeshiva Maccabees inside Clark Athletic Center.  With the win, Old Westbury (14-7) improved its record to 13-3 in the league standings as Yeshiva (12-9) dipped to 10-6.

Luckens Victor connected on four of Old Westbury's opening six points to put the Panthers ahead early, 6-4.  Shelby Rosenberg would later sink two of his 17 first-half points to give the Maccabees an 8-7 lead.  Yeshiva held the lead from 16:43 to 6:39, until Jamail Stanley netted a free throw as part of an 8-0 Panther run to later take a 32-28 advantage.  Rosenberg drained a pair of free throws to take back a 35-34 lead before Stephon Odle landed a three pointer to close out the half to send Old Westbury into the break with a four-point cushion, 41-37.

Old Westbury put the game away by using a 16-4 run from 16:19 to 7:36 to grab a 64-50 lead.  P.J. Page netted two of his 19 second-half points to extend the Panthers' lead to a game-high 15 points (77-62) with 2:50 remaining.  Old Westbury held a double-digit lead over the final 11:37 of play to secure the win.

Page led all scorers with a career-high 25 points (10-of-15 FG) in addition to swatting three shots.  Stanley followed with 23 points (10-of-14 FG), six rebounds, four assists and two steals.  Keith Lackerson registered 12 points (5-of-9 FG) and eight rebounds off the bench while Kaleem Edwards chipped in with seven points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals.

Rosenberg finished with 23 points (8-of-14 FG) while Shaje Weiss and Dean Pienica each scored 16 and 10 points, respectively.

In the end, Old Westbury shot 56.5 percent (35-of-62) from the field, 33.3 percent (7-of-21) from three-point range and 75 percent (6-of-8) from the free-throw line.  By comparison, Yeshiva landed 50.9 percent (28-of-55) from the floor, 31.6 percent (6-of-19) from beyond the arc and 80 percent (8-of-10) from the charity stripe.  Old Westbury won the boards battle, 32-26, scoring seven second-chance points off seven offensive rebounds.  Old Westbury also held the advantage in steals (6-5), blocks (4-1), points in the paint (42-30), fast-break points (19-11) and bench scoring (19-13) while scoring 12 points off 14 Yeshiva turnovers.
