Gameday Program

OLD WESTBURY, NY ---
(www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury women's soccer collected a 9-0 Skyline Conference home win Friday afternoon against Yeshiva University Maccabees (0-9-0, 0-5-0 Skyline) from Panther Park.

Melissa Outsen opened the scoring 2:04 in with her fifth goal (third-career game-winning goal) of the season by putting home a rebound past Yeshiva goalie Gabriella Chutter.  Old Westbury (2-4-0, 1-2-0 Skyline) then doubled its advantage 31 seconds later when Outsen found Sarah Roslonowski for her fifth goal of the season.   Lucia Mejia split the Maccabee defense in the fifth minute to make it a 3-0 game.  Mayra Bonilla scored in the 20th minute to send the Panthers into the half with a 4-0 lead.

Bonilla then opened the second half with her second-career multi-goal game in the 53rd minute to extend Old Westbury's lead to five.  Following Ally Hunjic's goal in the 55th minute, Bonilla connected with Mejia's head off a corner kick in the 64th minute.  Sara Bey landed a free kick past Chutter in the 77th minute before Cara Normile settled the scoring in the final minute of play.

In the end, Old Westbury's defense shutdown Yeshiva's offense as the Panthers held a 43-0 edge in shots, 34-0 in shots on goal and 6-0 in corner kicks.

Mary Clark (2-3-0) secured Old Westbury's win while Chutter (0-8-0) made 25 saves in defeat for Yeshiva.

ST. JOSEPH'S COLLEGE (BROOKLYN) BEARS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS:  Old Westbury returns to action Sunday (Sept. 25) on the road for a non-conference showdown at 2 p.m. with the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) Bears from Aviator Field in Brooklyn, New York.
