THROGGS NECK, NY --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury men's soccer collected a 2-1 Skyline Conference road win Saturday afternoon against the Maritime College Privateers (4-5-0, 1-2-0) from Reinhart Field in Throggs Neck, New York.

After a scoreless first half, Adan Velasquez put Old Westbury (2-2-4, 1-0-1) ahead in the 55th minute to score his third goal of the season off a feed from Jorge Rodriguez. Maritime answered in the 78th minute as Justin Forrest launched a throw-in to Harry Colucci for the header goal past goalie Mike Warren.

In the 85th minute, Seaton Cole set Fabrizio Chamorro up for the game-winning goal with a through ball into the box for his first career goal.

In the end, Old Westbury held the advantage in shots (28-8), shots on goal (20-5) and corner kicks (9-2).

Warren (2-2-4) stopped four shots to secure Old Westbury's win while Michael Rodriguez (3-3-0) made 17 saves in defeat for Maritime.

MEDGAR EVERS COLLEGE COUGARS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns home Monday (Sept. 26) for a non-conference showdown at 4 p.m. with the Medgar Evers Cougars from Panther Park.
