OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. --- (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury men's soccer closed out its home schedule and celebrated Senior Day Saturday afternoon with a 2-2 double overtime Skyline Conference draw against the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) Bears (5-11-2, 3-6-1 Skyline) from Panther Park. With one game remaining in the regular season, Old Westbury (6-9-2, 4-5-1 Skyline) is currently tied in sixth place with Maritime College in league standings.

Prior to opening kickoff, seniors Stephen Locurcio (2016-19), Grixon Moreira (2018-19), and Mario Silva (2015, 2019) were honored with the annual Senior Day Ceremony for their dedication to the Old Westbury men's soccer program.

After holding a 6-4 shot advantage over St. Joseph's in the opening period, Old Westbury broke the scoreless tie in the 62nd minute as Cristian Garay put the finishing touches on Jonathon Hernandez's feed for the 1-0 lead. The tally was Garay's first of his career. Hernandez then doubled the Panthers' advantage by gathering the loose ball in the box and slipped it past Bear goalie Alejandro Oliveros (4-10-2) in the 68th minute to register his first-career goal. St. Joseph's entered the scoring column in the 74th minute courtesy of Joseph Sepulveda burying Thomas Mastoras' throughball to slice the deficit to one goal. The Bears put away the equalizer with 1:14 remaining when Sepulveda connected with Mateusz Georges to send the 2-2 game into overtime.

St. Joseph's held the 3-2 shot edge in the first overtime before Michael DaSilva attempted the final shot in the 101st minute of the final stanza to settle the 2-2 decision.

James Perciballi recorded five saves on the day as Oliveros swatted away five shots.

In the end, Old Westbury led the way in shots (15-14), and corner kicks (7-4) while both teams were even with seven shots on target. Garay and DaSilva spearheaded Old Westbury's offensive attack with four shots apiece.
