Old Westbury, NY

The SUNY Old Westbury Men's Basketball team hosted New York University on November 28, 2021.  The Old Westbury Panthers (4-2) lost to New York University (6-1) with the score of 72-91.

The Panthers kept the game close with a 3 point differential with 2:03 remaining in the 1st half and as the time was expiring both teams had missed 3 point opportunities creating a 35-44 score going into intermission.

NYU scoring during the 2nd half was crippling Old Westbury's hope but at 6:52 Charles Wingate assisted on a 3 point shot by Michael Hernandez from Max Weinbergs's defensive rebound bringing the score to 66-76, down by 10 points. The rest of the half NYU was able to increase their lead winning the game by 19 points.

Farmingdale State Athletics - Statement Regarding Fans - Winter 2021-22

The following rules are in place for spectators effective immediately (New rules are highlighted in BOLD):

1. All fans must show proof of vaccination (NYS Excelsior Pass, vaccination card) upon entering the facility OR provide a negative PCR COVID test taken within 72 hours of the posted game time OR show a negative rapid test result taken within 4 hours of the posted game time. This is mandatory for everyone ages five and older. If one of these three are not presented, you WILL NOT be allowed inside Nold Hall.

2. All fans must wear masks indoors at all times regardless of your vaccination status.

3. Fans are required to practice social distancing protocols.

4. Spectators are not permitted to interact with players or coaches before, during or after games.

5. Tailgating is not permitted.
