OW Women's Basketball Victorious Against Manhattanville College 59-49

OW Team produces 22 points in the 4th quarter for the WIN

The Women's Old Westbury (5-7, 4-6 Skyline) Basketball team upset Manhattanville College (11-4, 7-3 Skyline) as they travel to Purchase, NY for a Skyline Conference match-up, January 22, 2022.
Ja'nya Flash led her team during the 1st quarter scoring 12 points. ( 5-9 FG,2-2 FT, claiming 8 rebounds, and 1 steal.  During the 2nd quarter Cherish Francis takes charge scoring 12 points, ( 5-15 FG, 2-8 3-pt, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals.  Cherish Francis gives OW their largest lead of the game with a 3 point basket during the 4th quarter with 1:06 left in the game.    Old Westbury has their best quarter of the year during the 4th quarter scoring 22 points as Manhattanville posted 14 points.  The Lady Panthers shot 90% from the field and 100% from 3-point land, FG 9-10, 3 point 3-3, FT 1-2.

Melinda Harris 6 points - 2-4 FG, 2-3 3-pt, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal.
Kasiobi Okenwa 4 points - 2=7 FG, 0-1 3-pt, 9 rebounds, 1 steal.

Old Westbury snaps a 4 game losing streak and look to improve next week with this momentum as they take on Sarah Lawrence College and SUNY Purchase.

Farmingdale, N.Y. - As of Monday, December 20th, there will be no fan permitted at any Farmingdale State College home athletic contests until further notice. 

The following guidelines for visiting teams remain in place.

Statement Regarding Visiting Teams - Winter 2021-22

1. All tier 1 personnel teams must be vaccinated or following Skyline testing protocols.

2. All tier 1 personnel must wear masks indoors at all times regardless of your vaccination status, other than when practicing or competing. This includes on the bench during games.

3. Visiting teams will be provided a locker room; however, use of the showers before/after games is not permitted.

4. Visiting teams are not permitted to eat in Nold Hall.
