Rob Manetta Named to D3Baseball.com's Team of the Week Once Again

OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. –  D3baseball.com has announced their weekly team of the week and weekly honor roll from April 8-14. Rob Manetta was honored as the team of the week's catcher. 

D3baseball.com has been releasing their team of the week for the past twelve seasons. The weekly honor roll recognizes the top performers at each of the nine positions from the previous week. To be selected, student-athletes are chosen from nominations from their school's athletic communications departments. 

This past weekend, Manetta went 9-for-18 (.500) and recorded nine RBIs and six runs. Manetta finished the weekend with three home runs. On the mound, Manetta made two relief appearances, one against each conference opponent. Against Mount St. Vincent, Manetta added four more strikeouts to his season total. Manetta recorded the save for the Panthers in the late game of a doubleheader with Mount St. Mary's. Manetta pitched 1.2 innings, striking out two batters and only allowing two hits. Manetta also showcased his speed on the bases. He finished the weekend with three stolen bases on three attempts. 
 
Manetta and the Panthers had another impressive week as the team went 4-5 and improved to an overall 12-13 on the season.
