JAMAICA, N.Y. -  The SUNY Old Westbury women's volleyball team swept the Cardinals of York College on Thursday night in their first match of the 2024 season. The Panthers took down the Cardinals, 3-0.

The Panthers were dominant in just about every area on the court.

In the first set, as a team, the Panthers recorded 12 kills compared to the Cardinals' four. OW benefited from York's six errors to help them secure a 25-17 first set victory.

In the match's second set, the Panthers would amass only five kills as a unit. The team recorded their most errors of the night in this set. The Panthers would still hold on to take the second set victory by a score of 25-15.
