Zion Williams Named Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Skyline Conference has announced their weekly award winners from Feb. 10-16. Zion Williams has been named this week's Rookie of the Week for men's basketball. 
 
For the Panthers, the men's basketball team went 2-0 in two big conference games. The Panthers defeated both the Mariners of USMMA and the Bears of St. Joseph's-Brooklyn.

Williams, a native of Indianapolis, Indiana had an impressive week of games. 
 
Against the Mariners, Williams was pivotal for the Panthers down the stretch to close out the game. Williams finished with 21 points, eight rebounds, five assists, one blocks and one steal. 
 
On Saturday, against the Bears, Williams recorded 15 points, five boards, and seven assists.
 
Currently, Williams ranks in the top 25 in scoring in the entire conference. Williams ranks in the top 20 in three-pointers per game. Williams is currently number one in assists in the league.
 
Next up, the Panthers will round out the regular season. First, with a home game against Farmingdale State at 6 PM on Wednesday and then a road matchup against Maritime on Saturday at 3 PM.
