Women's Lacrosse Takes Skyline Conference Loss to Mount Saint Mary on Tuesday Night

NEWBURGH, N.Y. - The SUNY Old Westbury women's lacrosse team was defeated by the Knights of Mount Saint Mary College on Tuesday night. The final score was 21-0 in favor of the Knights. 

Old Westbury now falls to 1-3 overall on the young season. The Panthers hold a Skyline Conference record of 1-1. 

In a night where the Panthers' offense struggled, the Knights' offense seemed to be unstoppable. MSMC saw a total of 26 shots on goal compared to Old Westbury's three. As a team, the Panthers took a total of five shots throughout the night, but were unable to find the back of the net. 

The Knights would walk away with the conference victory, under the lights, by a final score of 21-0. 

For the Panthers, Ashley Maniscalco led the team in caused turnovers with three. She also had two ground balls. Kyra Victor also recorded two ground balls while causing two turnovers. Jara Gonzalez impressed in net once again as she recorded 10 saves. Katherine Campbell would also see time in net and recorded a save. 

Next up, the Panthers will return home and play host to Albertus Magnus College on Thursday, April 3. That game will take place at Panther Park and is scheduled to begin at 4 PM.
