Women’s Lacrosse Taken Down by the University of Mount Saint Vincent; Panthers Dedicate Game to Morgan’s Message

OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. - The SUNY Old Westbury women's lacrosse team was defeated by the Dolphins of Mount Saint Vincent on Wednesday. The final score was 14-1 in favor of the Dolphins. 

The Panthers now sit at 2-6 overall and 1-4 in the Skyline Conference.
 
The Panthers struggles against the attack of the Dolphins. 
 
UMSV put up five goals in the first quarter. 
 
The Panthers scored their lone goal in the second quarter thanks to Katia Maisonneuve who made it a 6-1 game. 
 
At halftime, the Panthers trailed 9-1. 
 
Old Westbury was unable to rally back and fell short to the Dolphins by a final score of 14-1. 
 
Katia Maisonneuve finished the game with a goal, four ground balls, two caused turnovers and two draw controls. Caitlyn Subero recorded four ground balls and two draw controls. Ashley Maniscalco led the team in ground balls as she had seven as well as four draw controls. 
 
In net, Jara Gonzalez recorded eight saves after facing 22 total shots on goal. 
 
Next up, the Panthers will play their final home game of the season against Farmingdale State College. That game will take place on Friday, April 11 at 4 PM. Prior to the game, the Panthers will honor and celebrate their senior student-athletes.
