RJ Azarieh Named to the D3Baseball.com All-Region Second Team

OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. – The SUNY Old Westbury baseball team had one student-athletes recognized on the D3Baseball.com's All-Region Teams. RJ Azarieh was selected to the D3Baseball.com Second Team as a Designated Hitter. 
 
D3Baseball.com recognizes players from the various DIII regions for their efforts throughout the seasons each year. Student-Athletes are nominated for the all-region teams by their school's Sports Information Directors. D3Baseball.com recognizes the three All-Region teams as well as a Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year.

RJ Azarieh shined as a two-way player for Old Westbury splitting time between, DH, outfield and relief pitcher. 
 
Azarieh had the second most hits in the Skyline Conference. He accumulated a batting average of .427, and OBP of .479 and a slugging percentage of .603. Azarieh recorded 56 hits, 30 RBIs, 25 runs, 17 doubles, two home runs, 13 walks and three stolen bases. 
  
Azarieh finished on the Skyline Conference's All-Conference Second Team as a designated hitter.
