OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. — The Skyline Conference announced its 2026 postseason baseball awards on May 5, with SUNY Old Westbury baseball player Vinny Giambona earning First Team All-Conference honors while also being named Skyline Conference Co-Pitcher of the Year following an impressive season on the mound for the Panthers.
The talented pitcher played a major role throughout the 2026 campaign, consistently delivering strong performances while establishing himself as one of the top pitchers in the Skyline Conference.
Giambona finished the season with a conference-best 1.76 ERA while posting a 6-1 overall record across 46.0 innings pitched. He also struck out 56 batters while limiting opposing hitters to a .234 batting average.
During Skyline Conference play, Giambona went a perfect 4-0 on the mound, allowing just six earned runs while recording 34 strikeouts over 30.0 innings pitched.
Throughout the season, Giambona delivered several dominant outings for Old Westbury, including an 11-strikeout performance against Mount St. Vincent and a complete-game shutout victory over St. Joseph's University Brooklyn on May 1.
