Celebrated annually, this memorable night is filled with praise and recognition honoring senior athletes, coaches, faculty and the accomplishments of SUNY Old Westbury athletic programs. The event honors its senior athletes for their years of commitment to athletics and academics. Director of Athletics & Recreation Lenore J. Walsh implemented the Senior Athlete Awards Banquet in 2012-13.

Coaching Staff of the Year
The Coaching Staff of the Year award has little to do with win/loss record - and much to do with - communication with athletic department personnel (sports information, compliance, athletic training, equipment), completion of paperwork (receipts, etc.), commitment to academic integrity of your student- athletes and behavioral issues with your student-athletes, etc. The Coaching Staff of the Year award is decided by the athletic administration with no coaching duties.
