PANTHERS SHOCKED BY LIGHTNING, 100-84

BRONX, N.Y.-The SUNY College at Old Westbury Men's Swimming team lost to Lehman College at the Apex Aquatic Center on Tuesday, 100-84. Old Westbury moves to 0-2 on the season.
The Panthers claimed a relay victory, as the squad of Francisco Oliver, John Rodgers, Nicholous Perdomo and Jesse Carcamo claimed the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:04.11. The squad followed up with another first place finish, this time in the 200 relay clocking in at 1:55.98 with performances by John Rodgers, Nicholous Perdomo, Brian Smith and Francisco Oliver.
The 100 breaststroke saw a return of Old Westbury's winning ways as the one-two punch of Brian Smith (1:24.72) and John Rodgers (1:25.57) claimed the top positions.
Not to be outdone, the freestyles one-upped the breaststrokers by taking the top three spots with the trio of Brian Smith (1:08.36), David Mathew (1:18.16) and keeping it in the family, sophomore Sean Smith (1:29.83) in the 100 freestyle.
Old Westbury's dominance continued in the 200 freestyle, as Nicholous Perdomo won in 2:23.78. An impressive performance by Brian Smith landed him a second place finish in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 17:48.59 while brother, Sean Smith (11:33.40) claimed second place in the 500 freestyle.
Francisco Oliver finished second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:17.21. In the 100 butterfly, Francisco Oliver led the Panthers with a third place finish in at 1:06.58 as Nicholous Perdomo (1:16.18) touched the wall just after Oliver in fourth place.
David Mathew (32.58) and Sean Smith (35.99) made a big contribution to the Panther's team score as they finished in third and fourth place, respectively. The night was capped off with the 200 individual medley as John Rodgers finished in fourth place with a time of 2:50.22.
