Box Score OLD WESTBURY, NY (www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury men's basketball team used a 12-0 run to start the second half to roll past the Bard Raptors in Skyline Conference action Saturday afternoon at the Clark Athletic Center. The win improves Old Westbury's season record to 12-5 and 10-2 in conference action while handing Bard their sixth straight loss, moving their record to 1-16 and 1-11, respectively.
Overall the game saw eight lead changes and six ties, primarily coming in the first half. The largest lead either team had in the first half was a 26-21 Bard lead at the 1:12 mark. Senior

Lester Prosper (Bellmore, NY) scored six of Old Westbury's first 12 points to open the second hal on a 12-0 run, grabbing a 38-26 lead with 18:02 on the clock. Sophomore Forrest Alvarez-Ringer (New York, NY) scored four of Bard's seven points in a 7-0 offensive spurt to close the deficit to seven, 40-33 with 15:44 remaining. That would be as close as Bard would get once Old Westbury countered with a 13-2 run capped off by a pair of free throws by DeNully to give the Panthers a 53-35 advantage. Old Westbury pushed the lead up to 21 on two occasions en route to a 21-point victory to improve to 7-0 on the season in the friendly confines of the Clark Athletic Center.
Lester Prosper led Old Westbury with 16 points, including 7-of-10 shooting from the field and seven rebounds in 21 minutes of action.

Senior Justin White (New York, NY) led the Raptors with a game-high 26 points, including 5-of-10 from three-point range and four assists. Senior Adam Shear (Seattle, WA) followed with 18 points, connecting on 4-of-6 from downtown while Forrest Alvarez-Ringer tallied 10. Freshman Frank Stortini (Red Hook, NY) pulled down a game-high 10 boards to go with two steals.
Old Westbury shot 47.5 percent (28-of-59) from the floor, including 63.3 percent (19-of-30) in the second half. The Raptors shot 10-of-26 (38.5%) from long range and also connected on 40 percent (22-of-55) from the field for the game. The Panthers also dished out 20 assists and collected two blocked shots. The Old Westbury defense forced 23 turnovers and scored 25 points off of those miscues. Old Westbury won the boards battle, 31-29, including 13-12 off the offensive glass.
