Panthers earned victories in four events en route to 43-18 win over York

OLD WESTBURY, NY
(www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury men's swimming team earned their first win of the season Tuesday against the York Cardinals in a non-conference dual meet at the Old Westbury Aquatic Center. The Panthers won by a 43-18 count against the visiting Cardinals. 

Old Westbury won four events on the day, three individual and one relay. OW started off with a victory in the 200 medley relay as Hugh Eisele, Stephen Paul, Nicholous Perdomo and Gregory Mertens teamed up to touch the wall in 2:13.86. 

In the 200 freestyle, Luis Montoya captured first place (2:53.55) followed by Morgan Miller in second (3:00.68). Cameron Russo was victorious in the 50 freestyle (24.07), while Gregory Mertens finished second in 25.68. Michael Gavrilchin touched the wall first in the 200 IM (2:16.16) and Nicholous Perdomo finished second (2:45.56). 

BROOKLYN BULLDOGS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to the pool on Saturday (Dec. 4), taking on the Brooklyn Bulldogs in a non-conference dual meet at the Old Westbury Aquatic Center. Race time is set for 1 p.m. in Old Westbury, New York.
