www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury swimming teams were both in action Thursday evening in their Skyline Conference opener against the Maritime Privateers. The women fell 116-59 while the men were edge 104-86. This marks the second loss of the season for both the men and women, dropping their records to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in conference completion. Maritime men and women both improved to 1-1 overall and 1-0 against the Skyline Conference.
Freshman
Bryan Woodhead led the way for the men claiming first-place in both the 200 IM (2:07.81) and 100 backstroke (56.84). Classmate
Kareem Bryan finished the 50 freestyle in first-place with a time of 24.95. Senior
Stephen Paul clocked a time of 1:11.91 to finish first in the 100.

Tyriq Ballard teamed up to capture top honors in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:48.36.
On the women's side, freshman
Janet Marmol paced Old Westbury with a pair of first place finishes. Marmol was victorious in the 200 IM (2:33.64) and 100 breaststroke (1:21.95) events. Junior
Lydia Coleman earned first-place in the 100 freestyle after touching the wall in 1:01.82.

UP NEXT FOR WOMEN'S SWIMMING; YORK UP NEXT FOR THE MEN: Old Westbury women's swimming returns to the pool on Saturday (Nov. 12), in Patchogue, New York for a Skyline Conference battle against the St. Joseph's-L.I. Golden Eagles at 3 p.m. Men's Swimming returns to the pool on Thursday (Nov. 17) in Jamaica, New York for a non-conference matchup against the York Cardinals at 7 p.m.
