OLD WESTBURY, NY (
www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's volleyball team lost to Farmingdale  State 3-1 (28-26, 25-19, 25-15), Wednesday evening in the quarterfinal round of the Skyline Conference Championship Tournament.  Old Westbury (19-15) will now wait on a possible bid from the ECAC while Farmingdale State (14-7) advances to the semifinals against Mount Saint Mary on Saturday. 
Tynisha George has nine kills with a .263 attacking percentage to lead Old Westbury.  She added eight digs while 
Nancy Apollonio paced OW with a match-high 12.  
Kimberly Catania and 
Ashley Greene each served up a pair of aces while 
Kristina Giordano distributed 14 assists.   
Ruth Vargas registered five blocks (match-high). 
Farmingdale State was led by Sarah Palladino, who had 42 assists and seven aces.  Dominique Cunningham and Holly Sahner nailed down 13 and 11 kills, respectively.  Sahner also contributed five aces.   
Farmingdale State came out on top after outhitting Old Westbury .167 to .081 for the match, including .242 to .061 in the first-set.  OW finished with 22 kills, 16 errors and 74 total attacks to go along with five aces and eight blocks.  Meanwhile, Farmingdale State earned 31 kills, 17 errors and 84 total attacks in addition to 15 aces.  The Panthers scooped up 31 defensive digs, while the Rams collected 20 digs during the match.
