www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) ––The SUNY College at Old Westbury men's and women's swim teams hosted the Lehman Lightning for a home opener Tuesday evening from the Clark Athletic Center pool. Old Westbury women topped Lehman, 94-80, while the Panther men fell 105-82.
Lydia Coleman and
Janet Marmol had a hand in five of Old Westbury's eight wins on the women' side as the Panthers prevented the Lightning from striking. Coleman and Marmol teamed with
Lauren White and
Hayley McGinn to win the 200 freestyle relay in a clocking time of 2:02.63. Old Westbury claimed the 200 medley relay in 2:48.55 as White and McGinn combined with
Ashleigh Morris and Christina Nelson to capture the relay victory.
Individually, Coleman and Marmol each registered a pair of victories.
Lydia Coleman secured first place and season-high times in the 50 freestyle (27.39) and 100 butterfly (1:19.70) while Marmol claimed top honors in the 200 IM (2:37.27) and 100 breaststroke (1:24.24).
Hayley McGinn earned the 200 freestyle victory with a time of 2:51.04 while Christina Nelson touched the wall first in the 100 backstroke in 1:53.24.
Bryan Woodhead recorded a pair of top-finishes, winning the 50 freestyle with a season-best time of 21.87 to go along with a finish time of 56.83 in the 100 backstroke.
Stephen Paul added a victory in the 100 breaststroke, grabbing the wall in 1:18.08.

Luis Montoya,
Adolphe Demesyeux and
Thomas Mauro finished at 1:49.15 to take home the 200 freestyle relay in.
MOUNT SAINT VINCENT DOLPHINS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury swimming returns to the pool on Saturday (Dec. 10) in Old Westbury, New York for a Skyline Conference showdown against the Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins. Race time is scheduled for 1 p.m. inside the Clark Athletic Center.
