The Panthers dropped to 8-12 on the season and 7-8 in conference play while the Rams improved to 13-8 and 12-4, respectively. Farmingdale State's Jermaine Abraham dropped in a layup at 19:12 and followed with a jumper at 18:27 to take the lead for good. However, the Panthers were hampered by 30 percent shooting from the floor over the final 4:50 and went into halftime down 37-28.

In the second half, Richard Payton hit a layup at the 18:18 mark to put Farmingdale State up by 11 (41-30). Old Westbury responded with a 16-9 offensive spurt from 18:10 to 11:44 to pull within one point (50-49). However, the Rams were too much as they countered with a 28-11 run from 11:18 to 4:32 to go up 78-60, cruising to an 87-70 victory.

Scott Arias led a trio of Panthers in double-digit scoring with 20 points, hitting 6-of-13 from three-point land.
