BROOKLYN, NY
(www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) –The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's soccer team received goals from five different Panthers Wednesday, as OW posted a 7-0 win over the NYU-Poly Fighting Blue Jays in a Skyline Conference matchup from Aviator Sports Complex.  Old Westbury improves to 3-4 on the year and 2-0 in conference play while NYU-Poly dipped to 2-3 and 1-2, respectively.

The seven goals were the most for the Panthers since its 10-0 win versus Yeshiva on October 14, 2010.

Freshman Stephanie Maybie broke the scoring ice in the 11th minute when she netted her second goal of the season.  Maybie's goal was her second game winner of the season and was assisted by Cassandra EspositoSamantha Clancy scored her fourth goal of the season in the 36th minute on an assist by JoAnna Kettell to close out the first half scoring.  Old Westbury outshot NYU-Poly, 11-0 in the first-half.

Cassandra Esposito opened the second half with her fourth and fifth goals of the season in the 50th and 65th minutes on unassisted scores.  Three minutes later, Cristina Kettell found Jordan Schildt for the score to give Old Westbury a six goal advantage.  Schildt's goal was her third of the season while Kettell's helper was her first.  Esposito added her third goal in the 79th minute to record her 10th career hat trick as Jarelis Torres was credited with her fifth career assist.  JoAnna Kettell closed out the scoring with her third goal of the season as Schildt recorded her first career assist. 
     
Each Old Westbury goalkeeper played a half Wednesday; with Caitlin Thomas starting (no saves) and Heather Grosso recording two saves in the second half.  Christa Pappalardo turned in 14 saves in defeat for the Fighting Blue Jays.  Old Westbury held a 28-2 advantage in shots, including 21-2 on target.  Old Westbury finished with a 3-1 edge in corner kicks.
  
MOUNT SAINT MARY KNIGHTS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to the pitch for a Skyline Conference showdown on the road, taking on the Mount Saint Mary Knights on Saturday (Oct. 1) in Newburgh, New York. Kick-off is slated for 1:30 p.m. from Kaplan Field.
