NEWBURGH, NY (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) –– The SUNY College at Old Westbury men's and women's swim teams had a strong showing Thursday evening in Newburgh, New York against the Mount Saint Mary Knights and SUNY Delhi Broncos.  OW men swept past Mount Saint Mary 49-45 and SUNY Delhi 72-17 while the women topped SUNY Delhi 60-15 and fell to Mount Saint Mary 72-23. 

Old Westbury tallied three individual wins in addition to both relay victories on the men's side.  Bryan Woodhead, Stephen Paul, Ricky Damiano and Carl Nowicki captured first place in the 200 medley relay in 1:51.06 while Cameron Russo, Kareem Bryan, Damiano and Woodhead teamed up to take home the 200 freestyle relay victory in 1:39.24.  Bryan Woodhead (200 IM, 2:16.29), Cameron Russo (100 butterfly, 1:01.24) and Thomas Mauro (100 backstroke, 1:07.71) tallied individual victories.  

Lydia Coleman's victory in the 50 freestyle with a 27.55 finish time paced the women.  Coleman (100 freestyle, 1:00.91) and Janet Marmol (100 breaststroke, 1:22.92) both registered second place finishes.  Janet Marmol, Hayley McGinn, Christa Foerschner and Lydia Coleman combined to record second place in the 200 freestyle relay in 2:00.85.

PURCHASE COLLEGE PANTHERS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to the pool on Saturday (Jan. 28) in Purchase, New York for a Skyline Conference showdown against the Purchase Panthers at 2 p.m.
