OLD WESTBURY, NY (
www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) –  The SUNY College at Old Westbury baseball team posted their program-best 30th win Sunday afternoon with a 4-1 non-conference victory at home against the Baruch Bearcats from the Jackie Robinson Athletic Complex.  Old Westbury improves to 30-12 and will now wait for “Selection Sunday” on May 13 when the NCAA announces the championship field of 55 on NCAA.com.  Baruch moved to 21-19 on the season with the loss heading into the ECAC Metro Region Championship Tournament.   
Old Westbury took a 1-0 lead in the opening frame as 
John Angelino doubled to score 
Michael Weingartner for the games initial run.  Baruch knotted the game at one-all in the fifth when Alvin Mata doubled to score Steve Hession on a throwing error by center fielder 
Paul Valerio.  In the seventh, pinch hitter 
Jacob Coners legged out an infield single and a throwing error by second baseman Aldo Altramirano scored Valerio for the go-ahead run.  
Anthony Orsano followed with a run-scoring triple to score Coners for a 3-1 advantage.  Old Westbury added a single run in the eighth as 
Christopher DeGennaro singled, advanced to second on an infield grounder, stole third and scored on a passed ball to make it 4-1.
Ryan Bresnahan (7-2) earned Old Westbury's victory by working four innings in relief of starter 
Frank DiMaria (5 IP, R, 9 H, BB, 4 K's), striking out four while scattering three hits and dealing out three walks.  Jesus Izarra (7-1) took the loss for Baruch, surrendering three runs on eight hits and four walks over seven innings of work. 
Anthony Orsano collected his 60th RBI in a 2-for-3 game at the plate to lead Old Westbury.  
Christopher DeGennaro followed with his team-leading 22nd multi-hit game of the season, finishing 2-for-4 with one run and stole his 19th base.  Alvin Mata (2-5) banged out a pair of doubles and was one of five Bearcats to register multiple hits.
