2012-13 Top Times: Men's Swimming l Women's Swimming

OLD WESTBURY, NY (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) –The SUNY College at Old Westbury swim teams were in action on Sunday afternoon at the Clark Athletic Center, hosting the Mount Saint Mary Knights and Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins for a Skyline Conference double dual meet.  The men (4-5, 1-2 Skyline) captured a 54-32 victory over Mount Saint Vincent (207, 0-3 Skyline) and dropped a 59-32 decision to Mount Saint Mary (6-4, 3-1 Skyline) while the women (2-9, 0-4 Skyline) fell to Mount Saint Mary (9-1, 4-0 Skyline), 76-19, and to Mount Saint Vincent (4-5, 1-2 Skyline), 55-37. 

Bryan Woodhead paced the men with a pair of individual wins.  Woodhead took down first place honors in the 50 freestyle (22.87) and 100 backstroke (59.55) before teaming up with Zach Abatelli, Michael Bayne and Adolphe Demesyeux to claim the 200 freestyle relay event in 1:42.26.

On the women's side, Lydia Coleman recorded Old Westbury's lone win, grabbing the wall in 27.23 for the 50 freestyle victory.  Coleman posted Old Westbury's season best time in the 100 freestyle, finishing in 59.74 to claim second place.  Janet Marmol finished third in 1:26.09 to record Old Westbury's season best time in the 100 butterfly.

YORK CARDINALS AND UNITED STATES MERCHANT MARINE MARINERS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury swim teams returns to the pool on Thursday (Jan. 24) in Jamaica, New York for a non-conference showdown with the York Cardinals and United States Merchant Marine Academy.  Race time is scheduled for 6 p.m. from the York College Swimming Pool.
