JAMAICA, NY</strong> (<a href="http://www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com">www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com</a>) –The SUNY College at Old Westbury men’s and women’s swim teams battle the York Cardinals and United States Merchant Marine Academy Marines in a double dual Thursday evening from the York College Pool. Old Westbury claimed victories over York on the men’s side, 74-13, and 58-25 on the women’s side. The Panthers fell to the Mariners by the count of 60-30 for the women and 60-31 for the men. Old Westbury men now stand at 5-6 on the season while the women are now 3-10. <br />

Lydia Coleman paced the women by winning the 100 meter freestyle race in 1:07.84 and teaming up with
Gabriella Sparaco,
Alexis Upshur and
Hayley McGinn to finish first in the 200 meter freestyle relay in 2:27.04. Coleman also tallied a second place finish time of 29.63 in the 50 meter freestyle.
Melanie Barone swam a 100 meter breaststroke time of 1:37.67 to capture second place. <br />

Bryan Woodhead tallied a pair of individual victories in the 100 meter backstroke (1:03.99) and 50 meter freestyle (25.60) events. Woodhead also combined with
Adolphe Demesyeux,
Carl Nowicki and
Cameron Russo to claim top honors in the 200 meter freestyle relay in 1:51.81.
Zach Abatelli recorded a 100 meter breaststroke victory after touching the wall in 1:21.95. <br />
