BROOKLYN, NY
(www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) -The SUNY College at Old Westbury swimming team lost the men's and women's road dual meet Tuesday evening to the Brooklyn Bulldogs at West Quad Pool.  The Old Westbury men (4-6) won 10-of-12 races and lost 101-99 to the Bulldogs, while the Panther women (3-10) won six races and fell to Brooklyn, 92-83.  The meet was a final tune-up for Thursday's Skyline Conference Championships in Purchase, New York.

Bryan Woodhead, Takis Kellarakos, Cameron Russo and Thomas Mauro were multi-race winners for the Old Westbury men.  Woodhead won the 100-yard freestyle in 57.35 in addition to taking the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:10.67.  Kellarakos won multiple races for the first time in his career after swimming a personal best 13:17.19 in the 1,000-yard freestyle while finishing the 500-yard freestyle in 6:18.99.  Cameron Russo added victories in the 50-yard freestyle (25.18) and 100-yard butterfly (1:02.57) while Thomas Mauro won the 100-yard backstroke (1:09.29) and 1 meter diving (145.65) events.

Woodhead, Kellarakos, Mauro and Kareem Bryan combined to win the 200-yard medley relay in 1:59.11. 

Sandi Woodhead was a three-event winner for the seventh time this season for the Panther women, taking first in the 50-yard freestyle (27.28), 100-yard butterfly (1:07.18) and 100-yard breaststroke with a personal-best time of 1:16.36.  Jessie O'Hagan and Jennifer Castillo each provided individual victories in the 100-yard backstroke (1:11.08) and 500-yard freestyle (8:09.05) races, respectively. 

O'Hagan and Castillo later teamed up with Jacquin Chiriguayo and Hayley McGinn to capture first place in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:05.86.   

SKYLINE CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to action on Thursday (January 30) when they hit the road for the Skyline Conference Championships in Purchase, New York.  Start time is set for 5 p.m. in Purchase College Pool.
