OLD WESTBURY, NY (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) - The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's soccer tied the Ramapo Roadrunners, 5-5, in double overtime on Saturday afternoon from Panther Park.  Old Westbury now moves to 3-1-1 on the season while Ramapo stands at 1-2-2. 

Old Westbury led three times during the course of this non-conference matchup.  In the early going, Ramapo broke the scoring in the 22nd minute with Kelsey Sutherland's goal for a 1-0 Roadrunner lead.  Emily Winberry answered back from the Panthers with the equalizer as Mayra Bonilla found her for her first goal of the season at 30:16.  Bonilla then dished out her fourth assist of the season to Stephanie Maybie at 31:31 for a 2-1 Panther lead.  Old Westbury took a 2-1 lead into the half.

Ramapo knotted things up in the 49th minute as Nicole Ninomiya put home the goal, evening the score at 2-2.  Maybie would find the back of the net in the 51st, 73rd and 83rd minutes to give the Panthers a 5-4 lead.  With just 29 seconds remaining in regulation, Ramapo answered as Gabriella DiLiberto kicked in a pass from Nani Vizcaino, tying up the contest, 5-5, to send the game into overtime. 

Both teams failed to get a shot off in the first overtime and in the second overtime, Old Westbury fired four shots compared to Ramapo's three. 

Maybie tied a career-high with her four-goal performance, in addition to tying her program record with 15 shots on the day. 

Ramapo put up 17 shots on goal in 29 attempts, outshooting the Panthers, who put 14 shots on goal in 26 attempts.  Ramapo also held a 9-4 advantage in corner kicks. 

Caitlin Thomas (five saves) and Melissa Muller (seven saves) held down the net for the Panthers as Taylor Marcialis made seven saves for Ramapo.   


RUTGERS-NEWARK SCARLET RAIDERS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury takes on the visiting Rutgers-Newark Scarlet Raiders on Wednesday (Sept. 17) for a non-conference matchup at 4 p.m. from Panther Park.
