Cross Country Competes at the NJIT Invitational on Saturday

NEWARK, N.J. – The SUNY Old Westbury men's and women's cross-country programs took part in the New Jersey Institute of Technology Invitational Meet on Saturday. The women's team finished in 29th place while the men took 28th place. 
 
The meet, hosted by NJIT, was an 8k for the men and a 5k for the women.
 
For the Panthers, the women's programs finished in 29th place in the team challenge. The Panthers finished with an average time of 35:21. That said, the Panthers finished ahead of Skyline Conference rival, Farmingdale State College.
 
The men's program finished in 28th place ahead of Centenary, Lehman and St. Elizabeth. The Panthers average time for the men was 36:39.
 
Next up, the cross-country programs will take part in the St. Joseph's University-Long Island Invitational on Saturday, October 19 at 11 AM. Following that, the teams will host their annual SUNY Old Westbury Halloween Invitational on Friday, November 1.
