Cross Country Closes 2024 Season at the Skyline Conference Championship

BETHPAGE, N.Y. – The SUNY Old Westbury men's and women's cross-country programs finished their 2024 campaign at the Skyline Conference Championship meet at Bethpage State Park on Sunday afternoon. The women's team placed ninth overall while the men's team secured an eleventh-place finish.

The women's team finished ahead of both Yeshiva and Mount Saint Vincent with a total time of 2:46:15.9. The top individual performer for the Panthers was Emily Ganz who finished the course in 29:48.9, earning a top-25 finish. The next two runners for OW to cross the finish line were Evelyn Avila and Gianna Ventiere.

For the men's team, the Panthers edged out St. Joseph's-Brooklyn. As a team, the Panthers finished with an overall time of 3:05:21.3. The lead runner for the Panthers was Andy Lema who finished the meet in 31:58.2.

The Panthers season comes to a close as the team will look towards and train for the 2025 campaign.
