Men’s Basketball Defeated by Farmingdale on Saturday

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – The SUNY Old Westbury men's basketball team was defeated by the Rams of Farmingdale State College on Saturday afternoon, 89-66.

The Panthers now sit at 6-6 on the season and hold a 1-3 Skyline Conference record.
 
Throughout the game, the Panthers shot the ball 36 percent from the floor, 44 percent from three-point range and 56 percent from the free-throw line. Old Westbury committed a total pf 14 turnovers while forcing 17 by the Rams.
 
OW was able to score 20 points off fast break points and 19 points off turnovers.
 
Zion Williams had a dominant game as he finished with 29 points, three rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Amadi Lee-Kane recorded 11 points, two rebounds, one assist and a steal. Michael Obi led OW in rebounding and finished with five points, eight rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals.
 
Next up, the Panthers will return home to prepare to host SUNY Maritime on Wednesday, January 15. That game is scheduled to tip-off at 6 PM in the Clark Center Gymnasium.
