OLD WESTBURY, NY – SUNY Old Westbury baseball junior pitcher Vinny Giambona earned another prestigious accolade to his growing list of accomplishments after being named a D3baseball.com All-American following a standout 2026 season on the mound for the Panthers.
The national recognition caps off an impressive year for Giambona, who established himself as one of the top pitchers in Region 3 while helping lead the Panthers throughout the 2026 campaign.
Giambona finished the season with a 6-1 record and a stellar 1.76 ERA while striking out 56 batters across 46.0 innings pitched. The junior allowed just 40 hits and seven earned runs all season, consistently giving the Panthers an opportunity to compete every time he took the mound.
His dominant season earned widespread recognition across both the regional and national levels. In addition to receiving D3baseball.com All-American honors, Giambona was named Region 3 Pitcher of the Year and earned D3baseball.com First Team All-Region recognition, cementing his place among the top pitchers in Division III baseball.
