Box Score BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The SUNY Old Westbury men's soccer team fell to Brooklyn College, 5-0, Saturday afternoon at Brooklyn College Field.
Brooklyn took control early, scoring its first goal in the 19th minute when Gustav Krueger found the back of the net off an assist from Adam Moharam. Krueger struck again in the 40th minute, giving the Bulldogs a 2-0 advantage heading into halftime.
Krueger completed his hat trick in the 54th minute, converting a penalty kick to extend Brooklyn's lead to 3-0.
The Bulldogs added two more goals in the second half. Pax Gamboa Arzate scored in the 67th minute off an assist from Lucas Sauco, while David Zlobinsky capped the scoring in the 89th minute following a rebound.
Old Westbury goalkeeper Andy Chacho recorded five saves on the afternoon. The Panthers finished with two shots, including one on goal, while earning six corner kicks.
Old Westbury will look to bounce back in their next contest on the road against John Jay College.
