OLD WESTBURY, N.Y.-Returner Inez Zuska
(Brooklyn, N.Y.) and newcomer, junior Aryn Gring (Clay, N.Y.) were
among the individual highlights as the SUNY College at Old Westbury
women's swimming team dropped a dual meet to St. Joseph's
College-L.I., 110-77, in the Skyline Conference opener for both
squads at the Old Westbury Aquatic Center on Tuesday evening.
With the defeat, Old Westbury moves to 0-2, while Sarah Lawrence is
now 1-3.
Zuska, a sophomore swam 2:06.87 to finish second in the 200
freestyle and followed with a third place showing in 100 I.M.,
clocking in at 1:28.91. Gring, sprinted 42.17 to place second
in the 50 backstroke.
Gring and Zuska anchored the 200 freestyle relay squad along
with senior Shadi Alagheband (Great Neck, N.Y.) and freshman
Brooklyn Esposito (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) for the Panthers to
finish third.
The Green and Ivory are right back in the pool on Friday,
November 21st on the road for a tri-meet with host, New
Rochelle College, followed by York College. Start time is set
