OLD WESTBURY, NY (www.oldwestburypanthers.com) - The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 Skyline Conference showdown to the St. Joseph's-L.I. Golden Eagles after allowing a goal in the 88th minute at Panther Park on Saturday. Old Westbury falls to 4-5-1 overall and 3-2 in conference action, while St. Joseph's-L.I. improves to 2-8 and 1-2.
St. Joseph's-L.I. scored the only goal of the match at the 87:22 mark when senior Jackie Barbour (West Islip, NY) buried the ball in the back of the net off a pass from sophomore Kaitlin Arthurs (West Babylon, NY).
St. Joseph's-L.I. finished the game outshooting Old Westbury by a 16-6 advantage, while also finishing with more shots on goal then the Panthers, 9-4.
Old Westbury's sophomore Jennifer Kupfer (Bellmore, NY) suffered the loss in net, playing all 90 minutes. She finished the game with eight saves. Senior Dana Carney (Patchogue, NY) needed four saves to record the shutout for the Golden Eagles.
