THROGS NECK, N.Y.-The SUNY College at Old Westbury men's swimming team fell on the road to SUNY Maritime, 86-9, and Mount Saint Mary College, 76-16, in a double-dual meet in Throgs Neck on Wednesday evening. 

Five different Panthers recorded earned fifth place finishes.   Junior Sean Smith (Franklin Square, N.Y.), sophomore Nicholous Perdomo (Hempstead, N.Y.) and freshman Robert Rooney (Uniondale, N.Y.) paced Old Westbury.  Rooney finished fifth in the 1000 free (16:18.61), 100 breast (1:27.41) and 100 free (1:07.49) while Smith posted fifth in the 200 free (3:13.08) and 100 back (1:38.01) and Perdomo claimed fifth place in the 200 IM (2:48.68) and 100 fly (1:23.74).  Ronald Ott placed fifth in the 500 free (10:22.00) and freshman Chun Yiu Kei (Hong Kong, China) touched the wall fifth in the 50 free (31.97) to round out the individual accolades for Old Westbury.

Sean Smith, freshman Akash Desai (Floral Park, N.Y.), Nicholous Perdomo and Ronald Ott teamed up for the 200 medley relay to finish third with a time of 2:11.30.  Desai, Perdomo, Smith and Rooney guided the Panthers to finish fourth (2:10.81) in the 200 free relay.
