OLD WESTBURY, NY
(www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's soccer standout Cassandra Esposito became the first player in program history to record her 100th career point in Thursday's 10-0 victory over the Yeshiva Maccabees at Panther Park. The win was OW's ninth of the season, which set a program record for wins in a season previously set in 2009 with eight. Old Westbury is currently sitting at 9-5 overall and 5-1 in conference play while Yeshiva fell to 0-6 and 0-4, respectively.

Esposito recorded her eighth career hat-trick with her 14th goal of the season at 51:28 to put her over the century mark in points in just 47 games. Her third goal of the game put OW on top 8-0.

It did not take long for Old Westbury to start scoring in the contest. The first goal came 46 seconds into the match when Esposito played a ball from Kelsey Durkot and put the ball away into the back of the net. Samantha Clancy notched her first career hat-trick with goals at 3:52 (assisted by Melissa Diggins), 6:31 (assisted by Melissa Diggins) and 8:50 (assisted by Joanna Kettell) to give the Panthers a four goal lead.

In goal for Old Westbury, junior Chynna Pitlcok set a program record with her sixth shutout of the season, topping Jennifer Kupfer's 2009 record of five. Pitlock made two saves while Yeshiva's Meira Lerner was forced to make nine stops.

Esposito struck again in the 19th minute off Durkot's second assist of the game, which tied a program record with her sixth assist of the season. Kelly LaRose joined the scoring frenzy at 19:08 when Tiffany Lester found her for OW's sixth goal. Joanna Kettell scored a pair of goals on the day, scoring at 49:35 and 53:34 (assisted by Samantha Clancy). Cristina Kettell closed out the scoring with her first goal of her career off the feed from Kelsey Durkot. Durkot's assist set a program record with her seventh helper of the season, passing Jennifer Campisi, who notched six in 2009.  She also tied a program record with three assists in the match that she and Joanna Kettell set earlier this season.

BARD RAPTORS UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to the pitch on Saturday (Oct. 16), taking on the Bard Raptors in a Skyline Conference matchup in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York. Panthers and Raptors kick-off at 1 p.m.
