THROGGS NECK, NY (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) - The SUNY College at Old Westbury swimming teams were swept by the Maritime Privateers in Skyline Conference action Thursday evening from Riesenberg Pool in Throggs Neck, New York. The men lost 125-54 while the women were defeated 124-57.

Mallory Buzyniski won the 100-yard freestyle in 1:07.56 to lead the Panther women. Individually, Hayley McGinn (1,000-yard freestyle; 16:45.18), Jessie O'Hagan (50-yard freestyle; 29:45), Jennifer Castillo (200-yard IM; 3:06.95), Melanie Barone (100-yard breaststroke; 1:33.58) and Tatianna Pizarro (100-yard butterfly; 1:39.94) each placed second. Laura Diaz, Barone, Pizarro and Sezgi Giray combined to finish second in the 200-yard medley relay in 5:00.01 before Buzynisky, Castillo, McGinn and O'Hagan teamed up to finish second in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 2:03.56.

Takis Kellarakos (6:16.02) and Tim Rice (1:18.64) claimed first-place finishes in the 500-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly events, respectively. Yalli Marcan added a second-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly race in 1:08.25. Marcan, Rice, Rashaad Bryan and Kareem Bryan combined to finish in 1:42.70 to win the 200-yard freestyle relay.

LEHMAN LIGHTNING UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to action on Thursday (Nov. 20) against the Lehman Lightning in a Skyline Conference battle from Clark Athletic Center at 6 p.m. in Old Westbury, New York.
