@OW_Panthers Men's Basketball seeded fourth in upcoming Skyline Conference Tournament

Old Westbury will host No. 5 Yeshiva on February 24 at 8 p.m.

OLD WESTBURY, NY (www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) - The SUNY Old Westbury men's basketball team earned the No. 4 seed for next week's Skyline Conference Championship Tournament.  The Panthers, who will close out the regular season Saturday (Feb. 21) at Purchase, will take on the fifth-seeded Yeshiva Maccabees on Tuesday (Feb. 24) at 8 p.m. in a first-round matchup from Clark Athletic Center.

Old Westbury split the season series with Yeshiva, claiming the February 7 victory at home, 68-48, after falling 81-69 on the road December 6.  The Panthers and Maccabees last met in the postseason on February 26, 2008, when the Maccabees erased a 17-point halftime deficit to win 88-82 in overtime at Old Westbury.  Since that loss, Old Westbury has won 12 of 14 decisions, including a 7-0 record at home.  
 
First Round - Tuesday, February 24
No. 6 Purchase at No. 3 Mount Saint Vincent - TBA
No. 5 Yeshiva at No. 4 Old Westbury - 8 p.m.
 
Semifinals - Thursday, February 26
Old Westbury/Yeshiva winner at No. 1 Sage - TBA
Mount Saint Vincent/Purchase winner at No. 2 St. Joseph's (L.I.) - 7 p.m.
 
Finals - Saturday, February 28
At highest remaining seed - TBA
