OLD WESTBURY, NYÂ ---Â (
www.OLDWESTBURYPANTHERS.com) SUNY Old Westbury (M: 0-1 / W: 0-1) men's and women's swimming opened their home schedules Monday evening with setbacks to the William Paterson University Pioneers (M: 2-0 / W: 1-0) by final scores of 84-64 and 53-9, respectively, inside Clark Athletic Center. Â
Julia Zindman registered first-place points for the Panthers as she swam 31.08 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle. Â
On the men's side
Jonathan Ruiz,
Aidan McCaughey,
Dineer Estriplet and
Ian Febres combined to finish second at a time of 1:55.74 in the 200-yard medley relay.  McCaughey would later finish first in the 50-yard freestyle at a time of 23.14.  Ruiz, Estriplet,
Austin Young and McCaughey acquired first-place points in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:38.84. Â Â
Ruiz took second in the 200-yard IM by registering a time of 2:18.17. Â In the 100-yard freestyle,
Alex Dupkin finished with first place points by clocking a time of 1:09.85 and
Timothy Probst took second-place points in 1:11.55.  Young (100-yard backstroke, 1:04.99) and
Ian Febres (500-yard freestyle, 8:11.22) also finished with first-place points in their respective events. Â
LEHMAN COLLEGE LIGHTNING UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury is back in the pool next on November 7Â for a non-conference home meet against the Lehman College Lightning at 6 p.m. inside Clark Athletic Center.
