Old Westbury baseball third baseman Nick Papageorge was named the the Skyline Conference Co-Player of the Week, along with St. Joseph's Long Island's second baseman Joe Sanguedolce.
Papageorge helped Old Westbury to a 5-1 week and capped off an eight game winning streak. He hit .529 (9-for-17) with 10 RBI and eight runs scored. He hit two doubles and two home runs.
In the first game of the doubleheader against Farmingdale, he hit a three-run home run to help Old Westbury come from behind and win 9-6. In the second game of the doubleheader, he hit another three-run home run to tie the game at 4-4; the Panthers went on to win 5-4.
