OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. — The Skyline Conference announced its 2026 postseason baseball awards on May 5, with SUNY Old Westbury junior outfielder Brandon Hernandez earning Skyline First Team All-Conference honors following a strong season for the Panthers.
Hernandez, a Yonkers, N.Y. native, appeared in 33 games while making 32 starts during the 2026 campaign. He finished the season batting .367 with a .943 OPS while totaling 40 hits, 24 runs scored, 10 doubles, one triple, 22 RBI, and 52 total bases across 109 at-bats.
The junior outfielder also contributed on the basepaths, recording 11 stolen bases while posting a .466 on-base percentage and drawing 17 walks throughout the season.
Hernandez proved to be one of Old Westbury's most consistent offensive contributors this year, delivering timely hits while bringing speed, energy, and defensive reliability to the Panthers lineup.
In the Panthers' final regular season game against Farmingdale State College, Hernandez recorded a hit, drove in a run, and scored once.
As Old Westbury concluded the 2026 season on May 2, Hernandez will look to continue building off his All-Conference campaign as he remains a key piece of the Panthers baseball program moving forward.
