WOMEN'S SWIMMING FACED TOUGH COMPETITION OVER
WEEKEND

NEWBURGH, N.Y.-The SUNY College at Old Westbury
women's swimming team faced some tough competition over the week in
two dual meets. Old Westbury traveled to Newburgh, New York
to take on Mount Saint Mary College and College of Staten Island in
a double-dual meet on Saturday afternoon.
The women's team fell to Staten Island 64-24 and lost to Mount
Saint Mary 78-15. The Panthers took third place in the 200
freestyle relay as senior Kate Kelly (Napa Valley, CA), sophomore
Inez Zuska (Brooklyn, N.Y.), junior Sarah Grant (Long Beach, N.Y.)
and freshman Amanda Olsson-Boman (Stockholm, Sweden) clocked in at
2:27.26. The relay squad teamed up to claim third place in
the 200 medley relay in 2:42.24
Amanda Olsson-Boman paced Old Westbury with a second and third
place finish. She posted a 1:18.58 finish time in the 100
breaststroke while she had a third place showing in the 200
individual medley in 2:41.22. Kate Kelley finished third in
the 500 freestyle, touching the wall in 8:00.38.
The Green and Ivory will be back in the pool on Saturday,
February 7th when they travel to Purchase, New York for
the Skyline Conference Championship at 2:00 p.m. Please visit
