PANTHERS DROP PAIR OF DUAL MEETS AT YORK

JAMAICA, NY (www.oldwestburypanthers.com) - The SUNY College at
Old Westbury , but the women's swimming team dropped a pair of dual
meets to open the season on Monday. The Panthers fell to New
Rochelle by a score of 103-35 and lost the meet with York,
107-89.
Sophomore Brooklyn Esposito (Saratoga Springs, NY) claimed the
first victory of the season as she grabbed the wall at 47.38 to win
the 50 breaststroke. Senior Kate Kelley (Napa Valley, CA) won
the 100 IM in 1:35.16 and 50 butterfly in 34.60. Kelley also
finished first in the 50 IM while junior Amanda Olsson-Boman
(Stockholm, Sweeden) clocked a 42.37 to finish second. Kelley
also finished second in the 100 IM at 1:35.16. Boman
registered a pair of victories in the 100 butterfly (1:19.04) and
100 breaststroke (1:2741).
Sophomore Karen Camargo (Farmingdale, NY), Amanda Olsson-Boman,
Brooklyn Esposito and freshman Marissa Smith (Melville, NY) teamed
up in the 200 medley relay for a second place finish in
3:04.05.
DOUBLE DUAL MEET NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old
Westbury will take on Sarah Lawrence College and Mount Saint Mary
College in double-dual meet on Monday, November 30 at Sarah
