STATEN ISLAND, NY (www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's swimming team dropped a meet against the College of Staten Island Dolphins on Wednesday evening at the CSI Sports & Recreation Center. The women were defeated 106-102 and were led by junior
Inez Zuska (Brooklyn, NY) and sophomore
Amanda Olsson-Boman (Stockholm, Sweden), who each record first place finishes.
Inez Zuska won the 50 breast in 36.10 and took home second place in the 100 breast at 1:24.11.
Amanda Olsson-Boman took first place honors in the 200 free in 2:10.57 and finished second in the 100 free at 1:02.10. Freshman
Melissa Spleen (Hempstead, NY) finished second in the 50 back (37.80) and 50 fly (35.15). Sophomore
Brooklyn Esposito (Saratoga Springs, NY) touched the wall in 1:35.40 to notch second place in the 100 back.
In relay action, Old Westbury won three events, claiming honors in the 200 medley relay, 200 free relay and 400 free relay. Freshman
