OLD WESTBURY, NY (www.oldwestburypanthers.com) – The SUNY College at Old Westbury women's swimming team earned a trio of first place finishes, but it wasn't enough as the Panthers dropped a 108-67 decision in their home opener against Skyline Conference foe, St. Joseph's-L.I.

Christa Foershner took top honors in the 100 backstroke, touching the wall in a time of 1:30.50. In the same event, Leeanna Ladouceur finished second with a time of 1:43.47.

Marissa Smith won the 500 freestyle in 10:35.41. The Panthers had a 1-2 finish in the 100 breaststroke as Yi Yuan finished first at 1:50.97 followed by Alex Heaney in 1:57.43.

OW's 200 freestyle relay team of Christa Foershner, Kristyn-Marie Ceaser, Melissa Spleen and Samantha Siegler combined to take first place at 2:23.98.

Coach Sigitaas Rudokas' Panthers are 0-2 overall and 0-2 against conference foes.

YORK AND NEW ROCHELLE UP NEXT FOR THE PANTHERS: Old Westbury returns to the pool on Tuesday (Nov. 30), taking on the York Cardinals and New Rochelle Blue Angels in a double dual at in Old Westbury, New York. Race time is set for 7 p.m. at the Old Westbury Aquatic Center.
